Peter Toth (Hungary/USA), praised for his "artistic sensitivity and commanding virtuosity” (Peninsula Reviews), is one of the most recognized pianists of his generation and has won some of the most prestigious international competitions in the world, including the Franz Liszt International Piano Competitions both in Budapest and Weimar. He comes to us this summer with a fascinating all-Liszt repertoire.

Myung Hwang Park (France/South Korea), both pianist and composer-in-residence, studied Composition Theory and Film Scoring at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, one of the top programs in the world, while being laureate of scholarships from the Tarazzi Foundation and Leg Jabès Foundation Composer. He is one of the most ingenious young composers of our time.

Andrew J. Yang (USA/Iceland) deemed "a prodigy, [running] the emotional gamut from brooding introspection to manic exuberance" (The San Francisco Examiner), has lived in Patreksfjörður for the last couple years where he teaches at Tónlistarskóla Vesturbyggðar. Most recently, he won the top prize at the International FLAME Piano Competition in Paris, France, and received the "White Rose" Medal of Honor from the President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, for musical excellence.
